Acacia's A.S.B. has 29 members representing the 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  The goal of A.S.B. is to have all members act like role models for the other students at Acacia.  It is also their responsibility to keep up their grades and citizenship marks.  Students organize and sponsor lunch time activities, Rennaisance Rallies, 100% Activities, after school dances, school carnivals, fundraisers, extreme games, and 8th grade grad night.  A.S.B. students are hardworking and dedicated to excellence! The Science Club meets every Tuesday from 3:09 to 4:09 p.m.  Students may join the club at any time during the year.  Students must obtain a permission slip, then have it signed by parents, and turned it in to Mr. Grubb.  We perform many after school activities to reinforce the California Science standards, some of these activities are: constructing and launching model rockets, building model size catapults, mousetrap racers, hovercraft, paper planes, and pine-wood derby cars.  In addition, we participate in events such as “The Up and Atom Challenge”,  “A.M.S. Hope to see you here.    Contact - Mr. Grubb, Mr. Diaz, and Mr. Rogers

SOAR Club

SOAR Club is designed to offer students the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic endeavors. Past projects have included minimalist painting techniques, designing and painting Christmas chargers, mosaics, pastel pottery stencils, designing and painting garden pavers, participating in art contests, and more. We meet after school 1-2 Thursdays a month, depending on our current project. Additionally, students interested in our end-of-the-year field trip participate in a fundraiser once a year to raise the necessary funds for buses. Contacts - Mrs. Daniel or Mrs. Kirk

ABC Club

The ABC Club is an academic club revolving around the 1st Semester of study.  Classes are challenged to be the first and subsequent classes to have all students achieve the goal of earning A's, B's, or C's.  That means no D's or F's in the entire class.  The first period class to accomplish this first is rewarded with a picture in the yearbook.  All others who achieve this are honored with their names in the yearbook under the picture of the 1st class.

Multi-Cultral Club

Our purpose as a club is to promote and value multiculturalism in our school. The club meets every 2nd Wednesday of each month before school unless a special meeting is called. We also maintain the Acacia Memorial Garden, a place that provides a long-lasting tribute to the loved one who has passed away, as well as offers a place for the survivors to remember and to heal.  Contact - Mrs. Lewen

AVID 6, 7, and 8

Acacia AVID is an academic club focusing on preparing students for academic success.  AVID, an international organization, helps students who have the drive to attend college, but may need extra academic support to get there. Here at Acacia, AVID students learn note taking and organizational skills, how to work with peers to answer difficult questions from their core curriculum, and even volunteer their own time to help the school and the community.  AVID is an elective course which is part of the students' school day. - Contact Ms. Patterson, Ms. Medina, or Ms. Friday

Yearbook

Yearbook Club is a club that allows the students to create the school yearbook.  Using the newest software, they are able to design the layout and choose all of the pictures to document the school year.  The members of this club photograph school dances, awards assemblies, carnivals, and many other campus events.  They distribute surveys to students to determine various categories, such as: class favorites and 8th grade best.  This club meets every Wednesday after school from 3:15 to 4:15.  Contact - Ms. Touey
